The consignment process begins with an evaluation of your items, either in person or more typically via photographs. We assess provenance, condition, and market value based upon recent auction results before recommending the most appropriate sales venue, whether via our own auction platform or a trusted partner in our network. We handle everything from cataloging and photography to marketing and shipping.
Large consignors receive a written consignment agreement outlining commission rates, reserves, and key terms. We typically charge a 25% commission based on the final hammer price. For very large or unusual consignments, this fee may vary depending on the nature and value of the items. Auctions are scheduled weekly, usually on Sunday afternoons, and accepted consignments must be received at least 4 days in advance to be included in our weekly preview.
